  • Driver Racing History
Paul McFarland began his driving career in Sports Car Club of America Autocrosses and Road Rallies. He won several SCCA regional rallies and was the 1981 Central Kentucky Region SCCA C-Prepared class Autocross Champion.

Early in his career Paul also participated in drag races driving a Chevrolet Nova SS and a Plymouth Roadrunner.

Paul's oval track racing began in the Mini-Stock division on Kentucky dirt tracks driving a Fiat 128SL. After moving to the Washington, DC area Paul began racing in the Grand Stock division at Old Dominion Speedway. In 1992 Paul switched to the ARA Modified Tour and ran a limited schedule, racing in a total of 15 modified races over the next 5 years. The highlight of racing on the modified tour was the opportunity to race at Richmond International Raceway for the Virginia State Fair race.

Paul relocated to North Carolina and raced in the Grand Stock division at Orange County Speedway. At the end of the 1999 season after winning his final Grand Stock race and finishing 4th in points, Paul decided to switch to the Super Late Model division also known as Late Model Sportsman at several area tracks. This move provided the opportunity to race with the Southern All Star tour as well as racing at Wake County Speedway and Southern National Speedway.
